R.P. "Bob" Gaddis, JD, is the founder of Complex Insurance Consulting. Over the course of his career, he has acquired the in-depth knowledge and experience that have made him a sought-after insurance claims expert in Houston, TX. His career started in 1971 when he accepted a position with an international insurance company. There, he worked in Property/Casualty underwriting, with a focus on complex commercial accounts, and he was also involved in cross-training and resource work with claims. He moved on to serve as a commercial accounts executive and Vice President for an international insurance agency. In that capacity, he
was engaged primarily in property/casualty insurance coverage, including the premium negotiations and placement for complex commercial accounts. He also oversaw the handling of select claims.
During the latter years of his time with the insurance agency, he undertook the study of law, attending classes in the evenings. He completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence and became licensed to practice law in 1982. The following year, he entered the active
practice of law in Houston. For 37 years, he took on a variety of cases as leadcounsel in matters of insurance litigation, with an emphasis on Agents' Errors and Omissions (E&O), insurance coverage and claims handling, and business conflicts in the insurance industry.
